Open Space Technology
From NextGenWiki
Open Space Technology is a method of organizing discussions for large or small groups. NextGen has used Open Space since its first conference in 2004.
Open Space Technology has since been used for sessions at CNU including the Affordable Housing forum at CNUXIV, 2006 and was implemented more extensively throughout the congress starting at CNU XVI in 2008. Jennifer Hurley /NextGen/ has been the major resource for Open Space Technology within the Congress. She joined the CNU Board in 2008.
As of 2008, the use of Open Space Technology within the Congress for the New Urbanism was re-branded "Open Source Congress" to avoid confusion with the use of the term "open space" to describe natural and recreational components of an urban design plan.
Jennifer Krouse led the Open Source Congress in 2009 and 2010.
