NextGen Congresses
and CNU

Each year, NextGen hosts its own day long event before the annual CNU. The NG congress usually addresses the themes of that CNU and advances discussion on a number of other specific issues important to NextGen members. Through as series of speakers, panels and a highly engaging facilitation process called Open Space Technology, first time attendees and multi-time returners can meet, share knowledge and inspire excitement for the future of new urbanism.

The first Congress of the Next Generation of New Urbanists was held in Chicago on June 23, 2004. Subsequent congresses were held the past two years and planning is underway for NextGen4 in 2007.

Best of all, the NextGen4 events immediately before the annual CNU are always FREE and you do not have to attend CNU XV to attend the NextGen events.
