The Next Generation of New Urbanists (NextGen) is a platform within the Congress for the New Urbanism that serves three purposes: 

• NextGen provides a forum for new participants, new ideas and new voices, from both within and from outside formal New Urbanist circles. 
• NextGen functions as a network, connecting those of us that choose to self identify as participants of the Next Generation of New Urbanists. 
• NextGen seeks to establish an infrastructure that will aid in the identification of potential NextGen members, so that CNU has a continual input of creative energy and new personalities.
